Spa Secrets
We have brought you some to spa secrets for great looking
face, hand and body treatments from spa experts that you
can easily try at home too:
For Face:
» Make Grapefruit mask by blending 3 tablespoons of very
fine oatmeal, 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley and juice
of grapefruit to form a soft paste. Let it sit for five
minutes and then apply it on your face. When it is dry,
rinse with warm water and tone and moisturize the skin.
» Prepare rose and lavender water by boiling dried petals
in a covered bowl. Let it cool and strain it in bottles.
Store it in a refrigerator and you can use it with all the
facemasks or simply use it as a natural face wash.
» Soak finely chopped almonds in water and let it sit for
an hour. Strain the water and use the residue as a good
scrub. The water is good for rejuvenating eyes and
removing dark circles.
For Hands:
» Blend almond oil well with butter and store it in
refrigerator. Massage it as hand cream just before
sleeping. Cover your hands with cotton gloves while
sleeping to wake up to great looking hands next morning.
» A mixture of mashed fresh avocado, egg yolk, honey, rice
bran and few drops of evening primrose oil massaged on to
hands and feet and left for 20 minutes is great to
rejuvenate dry and wrinkled skin. Avocado and egg are good
for skin nourishment; rice bran for exfoliation while
evening primrose oil keeps hair, skin and nails healthy.
For Body:
» After the warm water shower, rub a mixture of coarsely
ground coffee, sea salt and massage oil on your body in
wide, circular motions and strong and even pressure.
Shower once again and apply the body lotion.
» For dry skin, prepare soothing and invigorating ginger
skin cream. Mix fresh ginger juice, light sesame oil,
apricot kernel oil, vitamin E oil and cocoa butter and
heat it until the cocoa butter melts and oils blend.
» Prepare moisturizing body scrub at home by mixing
together liquid glycerin, water, sugar, solid coconut
butter and few drops of your favorite essential oil. Blend
glycerin, water and sugar to form a soft paste and mix the
melted coconut oil to the mixture along with essential
oils. Let it cool and then you can use if after bath. |
